With over three decades of international experience, Teresa Kali has established herself as a dynamic singer and performing artist. Her remarkable journey has taken her across the globe, from the vibrant markets of Morocco to the sunny shores of California, the luxurious stages of the UAE, and the soulful rhythms of the Balkans.
Teresa’s versatile career includes collaborations as both a lead and background singer alongside renowned artists like Victoria Tolstoy, Sarah Dawn Finer, and Emrik from Stonefunkers—prominent names in Sweden's music scene. She has also shared the spotlight with musical legends such as Bobby McFerrin and Lisa Fischer, leaving audiences captivated by her extraordinary talent.
In addition to her live performances, Teresa boasts an impressive portfolio as a sought-after studio vocalist. Her work with the acclaimed Swedish producer duo Rob’n’Raz has made her voice a familiar feature in numerous recordings, showcasing her versatility and professional expertise.
Teresa’s artistic endeavors extend to the transformative singing project, "Rezá Azul", where she collaborates with American vocalist Raz Kennedy (from Bobby McFerrin’s Voicestra). Through their spirit-evoking performances and workshops like “Healing through the Voice” and the immersive “Vocal Deep Dive,” Teresa and Raz create a safe, inclusive space for participants to connect and discover the profound impact of vocal expression. The first time Teresa heard this song in 2006, it captivated her instantly. Although she didn’t understand the lyrics, the emotional depth of the music conveyed a message she could deeply feel. It’s remarkable how music, paired with an authentic performance, can resonate so powerfully with listeners. The original artist and songwriter, Yasmin Levy, achieved exactly that.
When Teresa eventually translated the lyrics, she was amazed by how accurately she had grasped the essence of the song without knowing the language. The melody stayed with her, refusing to let go. Despite her attempts to render the lyrics into English, she found that some of their meaning was inevitably lost. In the end, she chose to embrace the song in its original form, dedicating herself to learning it as it was meant to be heard.
Apparently Nothing
In 2017 Teresa went to her long time friends of Neoholics, a Swedish neo soul group, with the idea of making a neo soul / funk version of the track “Apparently Nothing”, originally recorded by Young Disciples in 1991. This version was noticed by Scandinavian Soul, who write about hip and up and coming music acts in Scandinavia. Read the article here:

The famous Swedish soul diva Laila Adèle (who is now featured in the Swedish musical version of “Dreamgirls”) and Teresa Kali have sung together for many years.
When Laila Adéle reached out to Teresa with a suggestion of a collaboration with her and also with the gospel choir Released that Teresa is a part of, it was the start of a series of amazing and successful collaborations between them. This duet between Laila and Teresa was a part of the first Christmas show they did together in 2018.
